How it works
What to expect from working with Woof Matters, the process and our current prices
1 - Tell us about the problem

Call, email, text, fill in the online contact form, Whatsapp, messenger. . . . . . use whatever is your preferred method of communication. The important part is to talk about what you are struggling with.

We'll be able to tell you if and when we can take on your case or in the unlikely event we can't help, we can direct you to other professionals who may be able to help you. We may also ask you to contact your vet, if we suspect there may be an underlying medical reason for the behaviour.
2 - Complete the
Consultation form

Before scheduling an initial consultation, we will need you to fill out an online consultation form.

It will help us to assess if there is anything else going on with your dog that might be impacting their behaviour and It means we can come to the initial consultation fully prepared, maximising the time we can be helping you.

Once you have completed your form, you will then be able to book your first session.
3 - Our first session

You'll get support from the start and we'll discuss what is going on. I'll be sharing my expert advice and getting you started with training. We'll agree a clear plan of action and I'll coach you through the initial steps.

We'll then have a chat about what support you think you will need going forward and how often you want to meet up. In some cases, an initial consultation may be all that is required to set you and your dog off on the right path. In other cases, a more structured approach is needed with additional coaching sessions at key learning points on the way.

I do not suggest a set number of sessions as I find each case is unique in terms of the behaviour, the context, it's intensity and the level of training support required. All I ask for is a regular update on progress, preferably with accompanying video footage.
4 - Your individual plan

You don’t need to worry about remembering everything we've discussed. I’ll either give you some material during our first session or send it to you as soon as possible after.
I’ll then follow it up with a complete report and pack of step by step instructions to move you on, with video examples and other resources so you know exactly what to do and when.

5 - Ongoing support

Now you know what to do you can start to put the plan into action. You’ll have access to email support along with feedback on any training video footage you send me. I’ll be able to guide you through any problems to get you back on track.

You can book follow up sessions with me, either virtual or in-person (if you are local).

I encourage regular updates on progress, preferably with accompanying video footage and I will provide reflection activities / journals so you can look back on just how far you and your dog have come.
